Moving On – Moving Somewhere

August 28th, 2007 by MDob

Don’t get the wrong idea from the title -I’m not abandoning you. As many of you know, I moved to California in 2001 to take a position as the CTO and EVP of Technology for a startup in wireless. We had a great product line, but were just too far ahead of the local search/LBS market. As a matter of fact the product we developed six years ago is still ahead of the market! Unfortunately, the business crashed late in 2002

I started my consulting practice, TeleMapics, in Laguna Hills in 2003 and have been working through it ever since. My wife and I have decided that we have graced California with our presence long enough. We are in the process of putting our house up for sale (good timing, huh?) and looking for someplace new to explore. Not sure where we will land, but suspect that it will take quite a bit of time to sell in this market. Hopefully, we will have the luxury of doing a slow search.

So, I haven’t found anything yet that would lure me away from consulting, but am looking for a new place to call home. Getting your house ready for sale is a pain, but hopefully most of the work is behind us. In any event, I plan to keep blogging through the process, but my schedule might be a little erratic. Hope not and hope you will put up with me while this is going on.

Hope you liked my choice of tags!
